  03/31/2002 News: Mac Compatability

Due to numerous recent emails regarding Macintosh compatibility, I'd like to inform you all that a plan is in the works. Thanks to glorious EBay, a Mac suitable for testing IE5+ is on it's way to our little lab.
It probably will not arrive in time for v3 BETA2, but all versions after that (RC1?) should have full Mac support. I have also been neglecting Linux a bit in the last releases, so I should work on that a bit as well.

Quick question for you Mac developers out there, is there any equivalent product to VMWare available? Or any other product that will allow me to have multiple version of IE and Moz installed on it.
I see that VNC is available, so I have that angle covered (assuming I survive the AppleTalk quagmire), but I *will* need the ability to run multiple versions of at least IE.

Cheers,
-darin

This might be useful to get your Mac browsers running: http://www.alistapart.com/stories/xplatform/

You can just run multiple versions. Mac: It's that simple. You can't run them all at once, but because there are no real hooks into the OS, you can install as many versions as you want.

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to build a library for the mac and the pc. It's really going to make this an exceptionally useful library.
